Westhills Towne Centre

This redevelopment and renovation was completed in 2014, representing the first major refresh and rebranding of Westhills Towne Centre since its construction in 1978. All existing skyline features were either removed and replaced, or renovated with a more contemporary, prairie image palette showcasing the retailer storefronts as the new focal point of the centre. The parking area was reorganized to allow for a new mall focal point, the central plaza. This new centre court contains a variety of leisure activities including built-in chess boards, a hop scotch area, a central fire pit with integrated seating and a children’s play zone. In addition, all sidewalks were upgraded to include new seating, overhead heaters, a new exterior sound system, and planters. The completed centre is now considered the premier outdoor shopping destination in west Calgary.
