Uptown Shopping Centre

This decade long project saw the redevelopment of an 18 acre site and existing strip mall transformed into an 875,000 sq.ft. retail & office development. Uptown has been certified as a premiere LEED Gold Neighborhood Development, one of the first in North America.

The mixed-use project features Main Street oriented multi-level retail & offices, an extensive public plaza and 2 ground oriented retailing levels responding to unique site opportunities.Uptown was designed to encourage and support the use of greener forms of transportation, such as ride sharing, public transportation, walking and cycling.

Other sustainable features include reflective & green roof systems, underground structured parking minimizing heat island effect, 225 bike rack stalls, change rooms and commuter shower facilities for tenant employees. These features, combined with the construction of a number of its buildings to a LEED Gold standard, make Uptown a truly sustainable development.
